QuotaBubble is a desktop widget that shows how much of your AI coding tools' usage limits you have left. It runs entirely on your device. There is no QuotaBubble account, server, analytics, or telemetry, and the developer receives none of your data.
What QuotaBubble accesses on your device
- Logins your AI tools already store. To ask each service for your usage, QuotaBubble reads the sign-in token that the tool keeps in your user profile (for example a file in your home folder) or in the operating system's credential store (Windows Credential Manager). It reads only the tools that are detected or that you enable in Settings, and it never modifies, copies, or exports those files.
- API keys you enter. For services that use an API key, you can type one into Settings. It is saved in your operating system's credential store. If none is available, it is saved in QuotaBubble's local settings file instead, and Settings tells you when that happens.
What QuotaBubble sends, and to whom
QuotaBubble makes requests only to the service each login belongs to, to read your own usage and quota numbers. The login token is sent to that service as authentication, over HTTPS, and nowhere else. Nothing is sent to the developer or to any other third party.
- Claude Code: api.anthropic.com
- Codex: chatgpt.com
- Google Antigravity: Google Cloud Code endpoints (googleapis.com) and oauth2.googleapis.com to refresh its token
- GitHub Copilot: api.github.com

Those services handle your data under their own privacy policies. QuotaBubble contacts a service only if you use it and it is enabled.
What QuotaBubble stores on your device
Everything below lives in a QuotaBubble folder in your user profile
(%LOCALAPPDATA%\quotabubble on Windows) and is not uploaded anywhere.
- Your settings (which services are enabled, appearance, notification thresholds).
- The last successful usage numbers, so the widget can keep showing them during a network error.
- A log file for troubleshooting. Tokens, keys, cookies, and email addresses are redacted before anything is written.
- An optional usage history, off by default. It is only collected if you turn it on in Settings.
Your choices
- Disable any service in Settings, and QuotaBubble stops reading its login and contacting it.
- Clear an API key in Settings to remove it from the credential store.
- Delete the QuotaBubble folder above to remove all local data, or uninstall the app.
Children
QuotaBubble is a developer tool and is not directed at children. It collects no personal information.
